No Soulfood meal is complete without a vegetable/side dish. Try this recipe for Collard Greens w/Neckbones.
To make this vegetable/side dish recipe you will need the following:
1 pound pork neckbones
2 bunches of collard greens
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon bacon drippings
Dash of red pepper sause
Salt & pepper
Make your vegetable/side dish:
Boil neckbones in a large sausepan. Remove from the broth.
Add the greens (wash well before cooking) to the sausepan. Cook on low heat until tender.
Add bacon drippings, red pepper sause to greens. Season with salt & pepper.
4 to 6 servings
Serve Žem up & enjoy!!
