Lane Bryant and Ford 12+ (the plus-size division of Ford Models) are searching for the next voluptuous supermodel.
The Basics
The search is open to women size 14 or larger who are U. S. residents and 18years or older. There is a $5 processing fee. Two colour photos (4x6-8x10 in size) must be submitted with the entry form: One close-up of the face and one full-body photo. Models will be judged according to appearance, personality and poise. The deadline to enter is June 11, 2004.
The ProcessLane Bryant and Ford 12+ judging will be divided into four stages. In the first stage, 100 finalists will be chosen from all entrants. The following stages will finalize 25 entrants and 5 entrants. The final selection for the grand prize winner will be from these five.
Popular Choice
Lane Bryant.com will produce a video and photo of each of the final 5 contestants to be posted online at LaneBryant.com, where visitors can then vote on their favourite. The model with the most votes will be declared the “Popular Choice” Winner.
Prizes
The top 100 finalists will each receive a $100 Lane Bryant Gift Certificate (LBGC). The top 25 finalists will receive $250 LBGC and the top 5 finalists will receive $500 LBGC and a consultation with a modeling scout. The “Popular Choice” Winner will receive a $250 gift card to Tiffany.com.
The Grand Prize Winner
The winner of the plus-size supermodel search will win a $25,000 modeling contract with Ford 12+.
