The best form of inspiration is hearing about someone else's success, so I wanted to interview someone who has worked hard at sweepstaking, and succeeded.
I have known this sweepstaker for several years but she would like to remain anonymous. With the web providing private information about us at the touch of a finger, we should all be careful of the information we put out there.
Here are the goods on a successful sweepstaker, to give you that extra boost you need to keep going until you win, and I mean win big!
To make an interesting story even more so, we shall call named sweepstaker, Carol.
Carol has been entering sweepstakes since 1979 and began the hobby to fill her time while her husband worked nights and the kids were fast asleep. Though her winnings did not begin in earnest until the 1990's she continued to plug away, and then she hit it big with a $25000 win in 1993 from a contest. With the cash, she paid off all of her bills and began to save money. With her savings she then paid her house off.
In 1995 her hard work paid off again, netting her a vehicle, which she kept until 2008, at which point her husband wanted a hummer and they went and paid cash for it.
Her sweepstaking philosophy is one you might want to take note of. She never worries about not winning, she just considers it a matter of time before she does win. There have been many dry spells for Carol, but with her positive thinking, the wins do come eventually.
Recently she wanted a new television, and wouldn't you know it, she won one! Call it visualization, zoning in, or whatever you want, I call it winning.
Her strategies are simple. Carol subscribes to two sweepsheets, Sweeping America and Sweepsheet and facilitates a sweepstakers group. Previously she used lots of decorated, homemade envelopes, but now she uses plain white ones. With the availability of online sweepstakes, her mail in's are limited. Most days she will do anywhere between 20-30 online entries and believes consistency is the key to winning.
I'd say this sweeper is an inspiration to us all. From a woman who has won $10,000 three times, I'd say she is living proof that this wonderful hobby is one that is well worth the investment of time and postage we put into it.
So everyone-chin up, pen to the paper and keep filling out those envelopes and 3x5 cards. You might just be the next one I am writing about!
